Sod is perfectly in touch with today’s youth.

In a primary season where the top two Democratic challengers for the Presidency are a black man and a woman, you just have to admire the Republicans for not only putting forward a white man for the job yet again, but quite possibly the whitest man who was ever born. And that whitest of white people, my friends, is our old pal Mitt “Mittens” Romney.

The whole video is amusing in its own way, but the two highlights are at 0:15, when he tries to relate to the youth of America with an impromptu rendition of the Baha Men’s classic song of yesteryear “Who Let the Dogs Out?” And then later, at 2:35, when he remarks on a small child wearing “a little bit of bling-bling.”

Who let the dogs out? Indeed, Mitt. Who? Who? Who?

I have to say, though, I am amazed in his restraint in not attempting to get anyone to throw their hands in the air, and then to wave them like they just didn’t care. Don’t think he wasn’t considering it, though.

Erik Hagen is comprised of equal parts X and Y chromosomes, snips, snails, puppy dog tails, and a whole lot of water. He was born into this world covered in blood, naked, and slightly hysterical. Very little has changed since.

  1. I’ve heard that there’s another video of Mitt and some “urban youth” jumping around, jumping around, jumping up, jumping up and then…getting down. Boy, does he relate to every segment of America or what?

  2. I have it on good authority that Kriss Kross will indeed make a person jump, jump. That might be just a rumor, though.
