John McCain Looks Like A Turtle…
By Nate • Sep 23rd, 2008 • Category: PoliticsHonestly, he does. You see it. I know you do. Of course, if I remember my Aesop’s Fables at all, this means that Obama must be the rabbit. I certainly hope that it doesn’t follow that “slow and steady wins the race.” Actually, following the presidential campaign as I have these past few years, it would be more like “confused and bumbling wins on race.”
Zing.
Don’t forget, the first debate is this Friday night. As an American, it’s your duty to at least pretend to pay attention. If you can’t stand to watch it, maybe read a transcript or non-partisan recap. This is an important election and no matter which way you plan on voting, we’re all better off if your vote is an informed vote. We need to at least act like this is still our country. So, the debate is on at 7PM ET and it’s moderated by PBS’s Jim Lehrer, who, despite being the crustiest, whitest news anchor alive, is at least not paid enough to be partisan and is always even-handed.
Oh, and we here at Sod just might be Liveblogging this first debate. More information to follow later in the week, once we hammer out the details (read: overcome our inherent laziness and clean the bong-water out of our ears). Stay tuned.

Nate is pretty sure Mark Twain said it best, "Humor is the great thing, the saving thing after all. The minute it crops up, all our hardnesses yield, all our irritations, and resentments flit away, and a sunny spirit takes their place."

I think it’s the wrinkles in his neck that give him that turtle appearance. Also, when he walks around, his shoulders are up high so it appears that his head may retract into his body at any given time. Thanks by the way for the info on the debates. I’m a news junkie and I love watching these things and I just haven’t paid attention to when they were going to start.
Tongyun has described things in a very appropriate manner, McCain does have all the traits of a turtle. As far that fable, I think in present world things are going topsy turvy, it is slightly tough to make predictions. We will have to wait and watch which way the wind goes and finally who takes the lead.
There’s a picture of him side-by-side with a Galpogus (sp?) Tortoise on this hilarious website http://www.johnmccainlookslike.com
I hope Obama knows the tale of the tortoise and the hare. Tis a nasty omen you’ve cooked up, if McCain gets elected because Obama slacked off in the last week, I’ll be putting this article on Digg.
“Tortoise and the Hare: Why McCain Won the Election”
What do you think McCain looks like more: Casper, Dr.Evil, Cotton Hill, Evil Monkey, Husky, Jubba the Hut or Evil Overlord?

I concerned the republicans will try some stunt like Bush did in 2000 to get elected even when they did not have the votes. There are hints that this kind of fraud is happening already. In thinking about it, we need more checks and balances to ensure that the votes cast are counted and that people are prevented from casting more than one vote. Perhaps a secure key token mailed to each person that without they cannot vote. I mean if your not responsible enough to keep up with a key token, your surely not responsible enough to vote.
I am pretty much sure MCkain and Palin are having an affair. Palin has such a “slutty” style and seems to be very horny by the way.
