Top Ten Countdown

By Nate • Nov 14th, 2007 • Category: Music, Sod that is good

Just to make everyone aware, I will soon be working my way through the albums that I consider to be the Ten Best of 2007, right here on Sod.

I challenge the other writer (writers?) to come up with their own lists before the end of the year, so that we can argue and bicker about it right here on Sod. In fact, if you as readers want to bicker with us, scroll down to the bottom of the page and post comments. I’ll try to include them in my following Top Ten-related posts. It’s called interaction. I know it’s scary, but we can do this…

It’s on.

Prepare yourselves.

Nate is pretty sure Mark Twain said it best, "Humor is the great thing, the saving thing after all. The minute it crops up, all our hardnesses yield, all our irritations, and resentments flit away, and a sunny spirit takes their place."

  1. Good idea… What about expanding the idea to cover Top Tens in other departments? Like TV, movies, video games, politics, etc…

  2. I’m all for that idea, if everyone else is. My knowledge of popular TV and Movies is pretty sparse these days.
Top Tens are always a great way to pigeon-hole people and then make fun of them for their choices…which makes for fun, snarky discussion.

  3. Agreed.

  4. I would like to do Top 10 Best and Worst Movies I’ve Seen This Year, with no real parameters on when they were released because I’d really like to include the 15 minutes of the Slums of Beverly Hills I saw last week.
That list would probably only have relevance to me, though, so I can understand if you nix it.

  5. That sounds very do-able, Crystal, since I don’t think that I’ve seen a total of 20 movies that were actually released this year. I’m totally down for that countdown.
