The Veep Debate - A Sod LiveBlog

That’s right, ladies and gents, Sod is going to be taking another whack at this “liveblog” thing tonight at 6pm for the Vice Presidential Debate between Dem. Joe Biden and Rep. Sarah Palin. Who will induce more cringes? Who will come across as more degrading towards women? Who will stick their foot farther into their mouth? And most importantly, who will have the best hair, hairplugs or no?

There’s only one way to find out, really. The choice is yours. You can tune in to just about any channel outside of Comedy Central or Lifetime, sit on your fat American butt and end up in the hospital, suffering from blunt force trauma to your intelligence, or you can tune into that aforementioned ANY CHANNEL, grab your laptop or wheel your desktop computer into your living room (assuming that your television doesn’t get jealous) and join the gang from Sodblog as we make even more of a mockery of the forum that is supposed to let the country get to know our Vice Presidential candidates. Consider us your shield from mind-numbing stupidity. Or at least your buffer.

To take part or just passively watch as we work ourselves into a tizzy over every little detail in a hilarious fashion, all you have to do is bookmark this post and click here to open the liveblog window. Or, you can visit when the debate starts and click on the big main post that includes the words “LIVEBLOG” and “VICE PRESIDENTIAL” in it. The choice is yours. Choose wisely.

Nate is pretty sure Mark Twain said it best, "Humor is the great thing, the saving thing after all. The minute it crops up, all our hardnesses yield, all our irritations, and resentments flit away, and a sunny spirit takes their place."

  1. Screw you. I’m totally watching on Lifetime.

  2. OOOOH

Here’s a game we can play while watching!

  3. Only decent thing on Lifetime is Anastasia, which has historical inaccuracies up the wazoo. Only good thing about Comedy Central is South Park, and uncut standup comedy.

Although, if I had a gun with three bullets, and I could shoot the people who ran either E!, CC, or LT, I’d shoot E!, twice, and stomp him into dust.

  4. I am surprised to see that people actually watch lifetime…hey but someone has to watch it. Watching any debate by people who cannot even answer one question is definately something I would pass on anytime. But anyhow, lets all go checkout the game it might be much more interesting.

  5. You know, I have always found it interesting when they put these two people together. You have one person with years of experiences in life and politics and then you have someone who is very young in comparison and has no experience or at least very little experience in this manner. So where do we go from here. You cannot even begin to expect great things out of someone who has less years experience than the other.

  6. I am sure that all such things are not interesting absolutely. I think that when they put such people together they do not listen to each other . They all try only to impress the auditorium with their jokes or to ask some provocative questions to their opponents. I never heard more or less wise proposition during such meetings but there were many anecdotes after them.
