Elevator Inaction

If you’re like me (and seriously, if you are, God speed, brother), you probably spend a lot of your day wondering what you’d do if you were stuck in an elevator for 41 hours. Well, according to this YouTube video I just watched, it would seem the answer is: pushing buttons, laying down, crawling up the walls, curling up into a fetal position, a quick game of solitaire and prying open the doors to take a leak. Yup, sounds just about right.

The only thing I think I would’ve done differently is when he finally gets out of the elevator, he just kind of walks out. Had it been me, as soon as that elevator started moving, I would’ve been crouched and waiting for the doors to open so I could leap out and tackle the first person I saw to the ground, and then tried to pull their head free from their shoulders before being pulled off by security and thrown out into the streets. Because seriously, 41 hours? Dude. I’ve got television to watch.

For an equally harrowing look at another victim of technology gone awry, here’s a video of an old man falling up an escalator. See if you can watch this one without crying just a little.

Stairs are looking better and better every second, ain’t they?
