A new drink is born: The Squirtski
By admin • Oct 13th, 2008 • Category: Food & Drink![]() |
Some time ago, in late 2006, an associate and I created the greatest mixed drink since the Flaming Homer: The Squirtski*.
The recipe was kept under wraps, mainly due to the limited Squirt reserves and complete laziness on the part of it’s inventors. Hidden away, until today… The recipe is making it’s debut in a SodBlog exclusive:
Squirt + Whiskey + ice = The Squirtski
So try one today… Let the delightful blend of citrus and alcohol dance on your tongue and infuse your soul.TM
*Warning - The Squirtski has a tendency to sneak up on a drinker, and may lead to late night theatrics/debauchery.

Interesting… you think it will be available at my local bar yet? Perhaps bartenders haven’t been introduced to this new drink and are therefore not educated with its contents. I really like the ring in it… ‘Hey bartender! Serve me another Squirtski ASAP!’ I see definite potential!
This sounds like a sure fire drink for a “hot date,” if you get my meaning.
Of course, one too many Squirtskis may hinder those “late night theatrics/debauchery.” As Shakespeare once wrote,
“Strong Squirtskis, sire, giveth the desire, but taketh away the ability….”
Verily, words to ponder.
I think that there would be a lot of people that would consider drinking this drink. So many people are looking for something new and this type of drink has just the right kind of kick to it that it would make anyone get up and do something outrageous. Squirt is one of the very unique tastes because of its grapefruit taste and since fruit is popular in bar drinks I would not be surprised if it appeared in local bars.
I have to admit I was rather dubious about reading this and was surprised to find that sex had little if anything to do with the post. When one starts talking about squirting, people tend to have some odd thoughts, and while I admit to nothing i did look at this post with some amount of foreboding.
I have a lot of friends and from time to time somebody of them tells that he/she wants to taste something new and something unusual. I remember that some of them suggested the same proposition as above. But all such propositions have been made after a lot of alcohol and nobody paid much attention to such things. I prefer to drink common alcoholic drinks and I do not like cocktails. I think that it is much better to drink pure red vine without any additions.
If bad/cheap whiskey is on hand, by all means. Off to get a jug of McAdam’s and a two-liter of squirt…
Or, how about some Janx Spirit, the main ingredient - or at least the main alcoholic ingredient - of a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster?
If you’ve read Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, you know all about the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster; Adams wrote that the drink’s effect is similar to having “one’s brains smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick”. The Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster has also been compared to a mugging: expensive and bad for the head.
Speaking of drinks, I once tried a bloody mary, which is vodka with tomato juice, and various other spicy liquids like tobasco.
It was actually pretty good, I’m the adventurous sort with drinks, but Squirt and whiskey? Doesn’t sound much.
If it is anything even remotely close to the Flaming Homer, I am very interested. Lol. It can’t harm to try it out once. I tend to mix whisky with so many drinks any ways, Squirt will surely be the next.
