Debate amongst yourselves.
By Erik Hagen • Oct 15th, 2008 • Category: General Sod, PoliticsSo the big day is finally here. Tonight’s what it all comes down to. That’s right. It’s the season finale of Project Runway. I swear, if Kenley wins, I’m gonna have to kill someone. Also, there’s a debate or something, which is what we’ll be liveblogging tonight because I lost a democratic vote and also because democracy sucks. So be here at eight and watch it, I guess. Unless you’re watching Project Runway, which I totally understand. Just don’t spoil it for me. I’m Tivoing it.

I don’t have cable television, but have accepted the fact that this November we, again, get to choose between one of two assholes (and the bad kind of asshole, not the good kind).
Neither do I Aaron. I often think about what I am missing by not having cable. But anyhow, I think that we should all come up with a name of someone to write in on the ballot. If we are only given two evil choices, I would rather not vote for the lessor evil, I would rather give it to someone who has not done anything. At least we have a better chance of making this country gain some ground with someone who knows nothing about how to run the country then with two people whose only cares are when they are getting in the white house.
Joe the Plumber is in big trouble now… he doesn’t have a license.

Yeah, great paragon John McSame.
What is the deal with this joe the plumber and why is it posted here. A bit confused. I thought that this one was for placing your concerns about the presidential race and the debate. I think that more debates need to be held but by the voters not the candidates.
Democracy sucks ehh? Well what else do you have in mind to replace it? As far as I know so far in the first world there is not really a better solution for governance. So since you have opened the can of worms, please enlighten us as to what type of government you think would not suck!
Ahem.

If you would, pay particular attention to definition number seven. Turns out, that one is key.
Sorry, but I am absolutely sure that the policy is a very dirty thing. I think that all politicians are actors. Some of them are good actors, some of them are bad actors but all of them play in the political theatre. They all promise a lot for the people but when they get to the power, almost all of them forget about their promises. They all think only how to continue their political careers and they do nothing for the people.
I agree with Vlada completely. Election is such an awkward time for voters. How do you decide which of the two “candidates” are better? You can’t believe a word that they say, for they will forget all about it if chosen. And lately, it hasn’t even about democracy or republican, for each of the systems have their pros and cons. The problem is with the candidates to practice them right.
