tickets to a different kind of show
By Heck • Nov 16th, 2007 • Category: General Sodi like jugs, and apparently the art community knows it. i won’t burden you with the existential conversation of art and whatever the funk it imitates, or if it’s being imitated by… something. shit. a thing, something or other that, well… a concept i… this is why i didn’t want to bring it up. so, without further adieu:
“Please join us at the Lowell Art Works in a celebration of all things mammary, the First Annual Breasts of the Northwest!
Over forty regional artists[aggoty's note: over forty meaning quantity, or is this an age qualifier, and thus an indication of average rate of pendulus?] will pay tribute to the chesticle in all manner of media, in 2D, 3D, 6D, DD, from paint and concrete to glass and steel, and everything in between!
What: Opening Party for The Breasts of the Northwest!
Where: Lowell Art Works, 5202 S 2nd Ave., Everett, WA 98203
When: Saturday, November 17th, from 4p to 9p-ish
[at this point, it seems appropriate to interject, they neglect to mention this party is BYOB in every possible way]

incidentally, i’ll be watching a football game at a bar and cannot attend the opening. i believe my decision not to make the trip comes from an innate sense of decorum, and by that i mean i’ll be noticeably deprived of one. after consuming a great deal of alcohol while watching football and yelling at dipshits from the rival school (funk you BOBCATS), i may be a bit out of place among the effete everett artist community wishing to celebrate breasts; sure, i’ll enjoy it, but not in a sophisticated way. more of a “where are my hands now” kinda way. women adore the smell of booze emanating from a man’s body, right? or is that only when it’s mixed with the lingering bouquet of cigarette smoke? i’ll be equipped with both, so, everett cougars, i might see you after all…
